BIOGRAPHY

With almost three decades of creative experience in the entertainment industry, Matt brings a rare blend of editorial precision, storytelling instinct, and producing experience to every project. He began his career as a musician and recording artist, and has spent the past 24 years as a sought-after editor and producer in unscripted television and documentaries—recognized for delivering content that strikes a balance between human connection and broad audience appeal.

A two-time Emmy nominee for Outstanding Picture Editing for Reality Programming and three-time winner of the American Reality Television Awards for Best Editing, Matt is known for crafting emotionally rich, story-driven edits that resonate with audiences and elevate the format.

His editorial work includes some of the most iconic and award-winning shows in unscripted television, such as Shark Tank, America’s Next Top Model, Big Brother, Hell’s Kitchen, So You Think You Can Dance, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, The Rap Game, and Love is Blind. Beyond editing, Matt has also produced dozens of episodes of television, contributing to both the creative and logistical heartbeat of series work.

Outside of unscripted television, Matt’s storytelling work spans documentary, branded content, and independent film. He has helped shape visually striking and emotionally resonant projects such as Becoming King (Amazon) and How to: Never Forget, directed mission-driven content for brands and nonprofits, and is currently in the final stages of post-production on the independent feature film Connection Pending. The film marks a natural extension of his career into long-form scripted storytelling, continuing his focus on character-driven narratives grounded in emotional realism, relational nuance, and human connection.

Matt develops and leads projects across features, docuseries, branded storytelling, and premium television, operating with a rare combination of creative instinct and structural discipline. As a storyteller, producer, and director, he builds narratives from the inside out, shaping character, tone, and momentum with precision and range. He gravitates toward collaborators who aim high, think boldly, and believe story is the most powerful engine in any medium.
